General Application Requirements

Standard/Professional License Renewals
The renewal of a Wyoming Standard Educator License requires completion of a minimum of five (5) renewal credits, which may be college and/or PTSB-approved workshop credits. NOTE: While no longer offered, if you currently hold a Wyoming Professional Educator License, you are required to submit 10 renewal credits, and the license is valid for 10 years.

Coaching endorsement renewal: If you hold coaching endorsements on your Standard/Professional License, there is no additional charge to renew these endorsements. Additionally, you must submit a copy of your current, valid (front & back) 1st Aid/CPR card(s) certification to include hands-on training. If you do NOT wish to renew your currently-held coaching endorsement(s), you may request for your coaching endorsement(s) to be dropped from your certification at the time of application.

Permit Renewals

  1. Classroom Substitute Teacher Permit
    1. A minimum of two (2) renewal credits has been met by PTSB-approved workshop credits or official college transcripts.
  2. Coaching Permit
    1. A minimum of two (2) renewal credits has been met by PTSB-approved workshop credits or official college transcripts.
    2. A copy of your current, valid (front & back) 1st Aid/CPR card(s) certification to include hands-on training.
  3. Drivers Education Permit
    1. A minimum of five (5) renewal credits has been met by PTSB-approved workshop credits or official college transcripts.
    2. Copy of current, valid Wyoming driver’s license.
  4. Educational Sign Language Interpreter (ESLI) Permit
    1. A minimum of five (5) renewal credits has been met by PTSB-approved workshop credits or official college transcripts.
  5. Native Language Permit
    1. Written approval from the Tribal Council Committee.
    2. Verification of Employment in a Native Language teaching position from the school district that has employed you. (Download Form Here)
  6. Professional Industry Careers Experience (PIC) Permit
    1. A minimum of five (5) renewal credits has been met by PTSB-approved workshop credits or official college transcripts.
    2. Copy of each valid professional license if required by state or federal statutes for the occupational specialty.
