So you completed an alternative route to licensure, these are the steps you’ll need to take to teach in Wyoming:

  • Verification that you have taught three (3) out of the last six (6) years in a state accredited school in the state in which you hold an active, valid license. (This does not include the years you may have taught prior to being fully certified).
  • Copy of your license(s) in the area in which you taught the last three (3) out of six (6) years.
  • Official transcripts documenting the completion of a bachelor’s
  • Submission of two (2) blue FBI Fingerprint Cards including a background check
  • Knowledge of the U.S. and Wyoming Constitutions
  • Teacher Testing Requirements. PTSB only requires the Praxis II for Elementary Education K-6 (5001) and Social Studies Comprehensive 6-12 (5081) for initial licensure.
